Last Post: I am certainly no fan of islam, however there is an organization named the red crescent society which is the muslim version of the red cross they do provide the same types of services in muslim countries as the red cross. Although the red crescent group will only help muslims in muslim countries while the red cross will go anywhere they can in the world. I don’t know if the red crescent is as corrupt and ineffecient as the red cross who is one of the worst "charities" for using donated dollars wisely. Last report I saw showed that only .20 cents of every dollar actually gets to a needy person as help the rest goes to "administrative costs" which is mostly overpaid execs and support staff. The problem with looking for charitable or humanitarian muslims or muslim groups is that the tenents of islam make a non-muslim either a slave, a convert to islam, or put to the sword.
